The Last Harvest

الحصاد الأخير

The olive harvest is what anchors our entire year. The same applies to countless families of Fallaheen in Palestine.

The harvest brings joy and abundance. Recently, it has brought with it a growing worry.

Will we reach our trees? Will they still be there? Will we be able to harvest again?

This campaign is our way of turning that concern into action.

In partnership with The Big Heart Foundation and the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN), this campaign directly supports Palestinian olive farmers, their craft, their livelihoods, and helps replenish the groves that sustain them in Gaza and across Palestine.

The name of this campaign, The Last Harvest, was not selected easily. It speaks to a fear we never want to accept, but a possible reality that requires immediate attention and action.

Support The Last Harvest today.

So that this year will not be the last.

Palestine, across West Bank and Gaza.

The Gaza Olive Oil Vessel on a stone plinth

The Gaza Olive Oil Vessel

A one-of-a-kind Palestinian artwork.

Getting this olive oil out of Gaza was anything but certain.

Sourced from Deir Al Balah, the oil was initially confiscated when an aid worker attempted to bring it out. After a difficult and uncertain journey, a small quantity finally made its way out in shampoo bottles.

To honour and preserve its story, Jenin conceived a unique artwork brought to life by Palestinian artisans. The glass vessel was handcrafted by Palestinian glass artist Lameice Abu Aker, accompanied by a specially crafted wooden base by another Palestinian artist.

The result is an original work of art that holds a precious piece of Gaza’s agricultural heritage and the story of its extraordinary journey.

Created for The Last Harvest, the artwork is being auctioned, with 100% of proceeds supporting APN’s efforts to replant olive trees in Gaza.

Their shape echoes the oil bottles that have always sat on Palestinian tables. Inside, seed-shaped vials exhibit and protect the precious drops above a base of burnt olive wood. A symbol of destruction and regrowth.

Guardians of
the groves

Olive trees in a misty grove هوية

For Palestinian families the olive tree is identity. Each one takes decades to mature, tended across centuries by generation after generation. That inheritance is now under threat.

Groves uprooted, harvests lost, families cut off from the land their names are rooted in. The Last Harvest is being auctioned to support these Palestinian farmers.
